All About Salamanders!
Carnegie Science Center is giving members a sneak preview! Go behind-the-scenes
with their resident salamander and Animal and Habitat Specialist Carla Littleton. Did you
know the Science Center’s H2Oh! exhibit houses a collection of aquatic species?
Ambassadors of the delicate balance of life and water on our planet, these animals call
the Field Station gallery home.
After watching the video, join Carnegie Museum of Natural History’s Assistant
Curator of Amphibians and Reptiles Jen Sheridan for a live Q&A. A tropical
conservation ecologist, the majority of Jen’s research has been in Southeast Asia.
However, she also works closer to home, examining the impacts of climate change and
land use on amphibians in Pennsylvania by utilizing CMNH collections and conducting
field work at Powdermill Nature Reserve. Good luck stumping her!
