Cell Therapy: From Research to Reality

What if we could harness the body's natural ability to heal itself? Learn how a Pittsburgh-based company is leading the world in turning personalized, regenerative medicine from research into reality. On Aug. 5, join Ron Jankowski, PhD, Vice President of Scientific Affairs at Cook MyoSite Inc., as he discusses the concept of regenerative medicine, what it means for the future of healthcare, and how some companies are offering look-a-like treatments without FDA approval.

Cook MyoSite's technology is based off research conducted during the late 1990s, when a lab at the University of Pittsburgh discovered that a specific type of skeletal muscle cell was responsible for regeneration and regrowth. In 2002, Cook MyoSite was officially formed from that discovery and has since been dedicated to the research and development of technology related to human skeletal muscle cells for the treatment of a variety of disorders.
