Member Reception at Café Scientifique
Café Scientifique at Carnegie Science Center is a hub for science lovers to gather with guest speakers and talk about the world’s latest technology and groundbreaking new research—without the scientific jargon! Join us for a members-only reception with Dr. David Snoke, January’s Café Sci guest speaker. Why does time run forward and not backward? This question actually gets deep into controversies of physics and philosophy, and has been extensively studied by Dr. Snoke.
You’ll have the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with Dr. Snoke and get all of your burning questions about time, physics, and quantum mechanics answered in the Joan Rossin Stephans Discovery Suite, a brand-new classroom in the PPG Science Pavilion building. After the meet-and-greet, stick around for Dr. Snoke’s public discussion, "The Arrow of Time," from 7–9 p.m. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
